Ghost Tours St. Augustine, Florida - St. Francis Inn

The haunted St. Francis Inn in St. Augustine, Florida appeals to many who have a natural interest in the paranormal. Originally, this inn served as a type of boarding house. It opened its doors in the year of 1845 by a lady by the name of Anna Dummett.

However, the history of this particular inn goes back way before the boarding house opened. It was actually completed as far as construction in the year of 1791, but the Dummett family purchased it in the year of 1838. Here, you will learn about the haunted St. Francis Inn – reputably the "oldest inn" in the Nation's oldest city of St. Augustine.

Anna Dummett's father, Colonel Thomas Dummett purchased the home for the family to reside in, and then approximately one year later, he then passed away. Her mother retained rights to the home until the year of 1845. It was then that the home was issued to Anna and her sister, Susan. At that time, the structure was two stories high. It seems that the original ownership was maintained by Anna until around 1888 when John Wilson purchased it. It was then that the third story was added by means of the attic in the original structure.

There are many tales and legends that are held regarding real ghosts at this haunted inn. One of the main areas of the structure that seem to be the most popular as far as paranormal activity is the room that is known as "3A". This seems to be an area where a lonely, young spirit of a black slave girl wanders quietly seeking out the love that she lost due to the fact that he killed himself. This was because her lost love was a descendant of Anna, and also white. During the time in which they fell in love, it was not appropriate for whites and blacks to mingle socially – much less romantically.

Individuals that stay in the room often speak of seeing the young girl. There are many situations in which the spirit is heard, rather than see. Footfalls and other noises for which there is no logical explanation can be heard in and around the vicinity of the third floor of the inn. Originally an attic, it is supposed that this may have been a hiding area where the couple met up and shared in their love. There is other strange phenomenon that occurs in this room as well. A good example of this is that the electricity and electrical items in the room will go on and off with no explanation.

If you are interested in haunting tales and would like to stay in the Nation's oldest city, it is only appropriate to stay in the city's oldest inn! The St. Francis Inn in St. Augustine Florida has several wonderful and comfortable suites, and the spirits that do seem to remain on the grounds and in the structure are not intimidating at all. They just have some unfinished business to attend to. Until that business is complete, the inn will remain haunted with real ghosts and unexplained phenomenon.

The Molendinar, of course, as every Glaswegian knows, or ought to know, is the stream or burn, now for the most part culverted, on the north west grassy banks of which a Christian settlement was established before the sixth century, having the typical topography of an ecclesiastical site - a hillock by running water.  This burn continues to make its hidden journey into the Clyde by

Miles Davis 1986-1991 The Warner Years Warner Music France 2011 Warner Bros. was trumpeter Miles Davis's last record company, and the five years covered by the five-disc collection entitled 1986-1991 The Warner Years, pale in comparison to the 30-year, 70-disc box set of Davis' complete recordings for Columbia Records, released in 2009.
