Garden week The Garden Club of St. Augustine will host an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9 at 3440 Old Moultrie Road. There will be speakers throughout the day and a special children's take home planting program. Long seeks St. Augustine City Commission seat
Former Planning and Zoning Board member Deltra L. Long, a Lincolnville native, announced her plans to run for St. Augustine City Commission's Seat 1, the seat now held by incumbent Commissioner Errol D. Jones.Long said she believes in "preserving, maintaining and restoring" the city's history and historical sites.

Pontrello does it all for St. Augustine lacrosse team
Steve Pontrello has garnered a number of awards and honors through the course of his career as a midfielder for the St. Augustine boys' lacrosse team, not the least of which was being named as Player of the Year by the Courier-Post last season.
